Sorma celebrates its 75th anniversary: a story of shared excellence
At Sorma Ibérica, we are proud to be part of Sorma’s history, which celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2025. More than just a number, these 75 years represent a journey defined by innovation, quality, and the trust of thousands of customers worldwide.
It all began in Venice, where Sorma took its first steps importing diamond tools for Murano artistic glass. Since then, the company has evolved into an international group with a presence in key countries such as France, Germany, and of course, Spain, where Sorma Ibérica plays a key role in distributing cutting tools for the Iberian market.
Over the decades, Sorma has been a pioneer in introducing technological solutions in machining—such as diamond cloths in Italy—and in building strong strategic partnerships, like its more than 40-year collaboration with the Japanese company Yamawa. The group has also developed its own brands, Osawa and Nikko Tools, now synonymous with quality and performance in the metalworking sector.
This 75th anniversary marks a moment of renewal and momentum. In 2025, Sorma is launching its first corporate catalogue under the Sorma brand, featuring a carefully selected range of Osawa and Nikko Tools products aimed at the machining industry. This new chapter is also accompanied by a refreshed brand identity that reflects the group’s evolution and strength.
At Sorma Ibérica, we proudly celebrate this anniversary and renew our commitment to the Spanish and Portuguese industrial markets. We share the values that have brought Sorma to this point: credibility, reliability, and excellence—not just as a slogan, but as a daily practice.
Congratulations, Sorma!
